West Warwick’s Season Ends In Game Three Loss!
After winning nine consecutive games after a 3-5 start, West Warwick’s Connie Mack season came to end with a game three loss to First Place, Flood Ford.
WWCM took a series lead with a 5-3 upset over a Flood Ford. The Bishop Hendricken contingent, who knocked out the orange and black in last year’s semifinals, advanced to the State Championship for the second consecutive year.
Although they gave up three runs In their game one win, WWCM pulled a rarity of sorts by no-hitting Flood Ford
Leading hitters for West Warwick were Brendan Griffin (2/4) , Josh Pedus (1/4, one double, one run), Nick Brown (rbi double), Anthony Burt (1/4, one double), Nate Hunt (rbi single and one run scored), Zack Lawrence (1/3, one run) and Caden Denton (1/3, one run scored).
West Warwick, who had the longest winning streak of the year, finishes with a 12-7 record.
